What is your indoor air quality?

Maintain good air quality in your home

Most people go about their daily routine without ever thinking about the quality of the air in their home.   According to the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency), mold, dust mites, pet dander (skin flakes), droppings and body parts from cockroaches, rodents and other pests or insects, viruses, and bacteria are all sources of poor indoor air quality. Many of these biological contaminants are small enough to be inhaled.

Did you know that the saliva from your pet dries then can become airborne?  As much as you may love Fido or Fluffy, do you really want to breathe in their saliva?  Most of our homes contain some of these: Pollens, bacteria, virus’, odors, smoke and VOC’s (volatile organic compounds).  If these things are floating around in the air microscopically, we are inhaling them without even realizing the dangers.

These toxins can cause asthma, dizziness, watery eyes, shortness of breath, fever and even digestive problems to name a few.  Southwest Florida is warm most of the time which helps bacteria grow and thrive.  A central air system can become a breeding ground for all types of microbes.  So, what can you do to stay cool and maintain good indoor air quality?

There is an easy solution to help you breathe easier and not worry about what is floating around in the air in your home.  The Air Knight, an excellent home air purifier easily mounts onto your existing air conditioning and heating air ducts.  This air purifier works so well it will help keep your air germ free as well as household surfaces like tables and counters.
